Karen O'Connor - Eventing

Karen represented the US Eventing Team at the 2008 Olympics riding Mandiba, a 16.2 hands Irish Thoroughbred Gelding. This was Karen's fourth appearance as a member of the US Olympic team. She previously brought home Team Bronze in 2000; Team Silver in 1996 and was a member of the 1988 US Team. Karen rode on the 1998 WEG Team earning a team bronze medal. Karen has enjoyed equal success at Pan Am Games, bringing home individual and team gold medals in 2007, and an individual silver medal in 2003.  In addition to her numerous appearances as part of the US Team, Karen has won Rolex KY 3DE three times, earned the United States Eventing Association female equestrian athlete of the year award a record 10 times and was the #1 ranked lady rider in the world  in 1993!!!

Karen is married to fellow equestrian and United States Equestrian Federation President David O'Connor. Karen and David jointly operate the O'Connor Event Team.
