Kate Levy - Showjumping
From a young age, Kate Levy has been widely recognized as a force to be reckoned with in the world of competitive show jumping. After a successful junior career that included winning silver in the Junior Olympics at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and finishing 10th at the 1999 Pan American Games Show Jumping Selection Trials, Kate attended Georgetown University. With her double major in International Business and French and minor in Spanish, Kate was well positioned to start her professional career in international show jumping.
In 2008, Kate was named to the short list for the United States Olympic Show Jumping team, won the Grand Prix of Norten Hardenberg, Germany, was part of the second place Nations Cup Team in La Baule, France and was second in the Mercedes German masters in Stuttgart, Germany. Her European tour was marked with Grand Prix placings from the top competitions in Belgium, Germany, France, and Spain.
She continued her success in 2009 by placing second in the CSIO Grand Prix of Wellington, FL, placing first and second in the $10,000 Lilly Pulitzer Open Welcome Stake in Manchester, VT, winning the $150,000 Fidelity Equine Insurance Services Speed Stake along with numerous top level placings in Florida, New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Kentucky and Connecticut.
Kate currently has a thriving business with sale horses, clients, clinics and her own show career. She divides her time between showing in Europe, her new training facility in North Salem, New York and Wellington, Florida. www.katelevyllc.com
