Steffen Peters - Dressage

Steffen's riding career began at the tender age of 7, when his parents bought his sister and him a pony. By the age of 16 Steffen had upgraded to his first horse, Udon, upon whom he would go on to win his team bronze medal in Atlanta. In 1985 Steffen made the move to the US bringing Udon with him and became a US citizen in 1992. Four short years later, Steffen was named to the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Dressage Team.

In 2004 Steffen was an alternate for the Athens Olympics but returned to the games for a second time in 2008, riding Ravel (owned by Akiko Yamazaki wife to one of the founders of the internet company Yahoo) and finished just 0.305 points behind the bronze medal in fourth place.
